Sympathetic support

A personal tool for paced breathing, HRV and single-lead ECG with the Polar H10.

For help, email lucas@lucascamillomd.com. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, app version and a short description of the issue. Please avoid sending health recordings unless you choose to share them for support.

Subscriptions

Guided breathing is free and works without a sensor. All Polar H10 features require a Sympathetic H10 subscription, with monthly and annual plans. A Polar H10 is sold separately.

Eligible new subscribers receive a 14-day free trial. After the trial, the selected plan renews automatically at the price shown by Apple unless cancelled. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.

In Sympathetic, open Settings > Subscription to choose a plan or use Restore purchases. Previously saved records remain available for reading, re-analysis, repair and export after a subscription ends.

Connecting your Polar H10

Wear the strap with its electrodes moistened, enable Bluetooth, and allow Sympathetic to use Bluetooth when prompted. If connection fails, check the sensor battery and whether another device or app is using the sensor. Sensor measurements require a Polar H10, sold separately.

Apple Health

Saving Mindful Minutes is optional. Manage this in Sympathetic’s Apple Health settings and manage permissions in Apple Health. The app writes confirmed breathing time and does not request access to read your Health records.

Recordings and exports

Use history and recording views to review saved sessions. ECG history offers recording-package and selected-segment exports. Exported files are saved to a location you choose and should be handled as personal health information.

Intended use

Sympathetic is for personal exploration and general wellness. Its scores and ECG estimates are not intended for diagnosis or treatment.

Privacy and terms

Read the Sympathetic privacy policy and Apple's standard Terms of Use.
